ARE CROP TOPS MODEST?

First and foremost, I have worn a crop top before. I own one. I wanted it so badly and wallah, I bought it and wore it (See below). Although I wore it on one Saturday afternoon, I kinda felt bad. For those of you who walk with God, you will understand me right away. 1 Timothy 2: 9 which reads;" I also want women to dress modestly with decency and properly, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes convicted me. Proverbs 7: 10  Then out came a woman to meet him, dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent.   I got convicted people.    I think God convicts people differently and at different times. We are convicted by the holy spirit about what is right and what is wrong. We must learn to listen to the voice of truth and obey it. Obedience is better than sacrifice.  I no longer feel comfortable wearing a crop top especially without a thin coat on top. I fail to see the point in  putting my stomach out there. Ba

Can I tell someone that I am fasting?

Often at times I hear people say; “Oh, I don’t want to be distracted, I am fasting. Usually, the question of whether one can tell the other that they are fasting is raised in light of Matthew 6: 16 -18. Matthew 6: 16-18; "When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. I think that Jesus is teaching us to be disciplined not to be like hypocrites. Christianity is not a religion, it’s a relationship with God. It’s a lifestyle that one must learn one step at time and embrace with love. Christianity is not supposed to drain you in any way. If you are weary, ask God to help you, to strengthen you. Back to the question, Can I tell someone that I am fasting? I think it’s important for one to understand that as a Christian, you need to do what you do give all the glory to God.
